Jio Will Change the Face of Tele Communication Industry


In 42nd AGM CMD Mukesh Ambani Announced 20% of stake in Reliance’s oil to chemical will be sold to Saudi Aramco at $75 billion. He described the deal as the largest foreign investment in India. Under the deal, Saudi Aramco will also supply 5, 00,000 barrels of crude oil on a long term basis to RIL’s Jamnagar Refinery.
He also announced the commercial launch of Jio Fiber at the 3rd Anniversary of Reliance Jio i.e. 5th September. That will offer free voice calls for life from landline phones, high-speed broadband of minimum speed of 100mbps, free high definition TV and dish. The base plan for Jio Fiber will be from Rs. 700 to Rs. 10,000 per month. In India, even the most basic Jio Giga Fiber will start at 100mbps at the lowest end. We have all the plans to go all the way to 1gbps. We are pricing our plan at one-tenth of the global rate to make it accessible for every home.
Jio Giga Fiber customers will also get to watch new movies on the same day of its release from mid-2020. This will be called as Jio First Day First Show.
Ambani and Reliance Jio have entered into a long term alliance with Microsoft to accelerate digital transformation with the launch of new cloud data centers. Jio will set up a network of large world-class data centers across India powered by Microsoft’s Azure Cloud Platform.
